Big emotions are when your emotions build up. These can be negative or positive emotions.
Sometimes when we feel a big emotion it can be easy to jump in and respond quickly without thinking. This can hurt our relationships with other people.
If you know when you are feeling big emotions, you can use a trick called STOP, THINK, DO, to give yourself more time to make the best choice in the moment.
